Notice on the processing of personal data
What we collect, why, and for how long.
Notice provided under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) to those who visit this website, use the contact forms or take part in the Smart Run Award initiatives.
Browsing the website
This website does not use profiling tools or third-party analytics services. The hosting provider records in its system logs the technical data needed to run the service (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type), kept only for as long as strictly necessary for security and maintenance. Fonts, images and styles are served from the website's own domain: browsing does not generate requests to third-party services.
Contact forms and questionnaires
The forms on the website do not send data to a server: they prepare a text that you send to us yourself by e-mail, from your mail app or by copying it. We process the data you provide (name, company, e-mail address, content of the message and, if completed, the answers to the questionnaire) solely to reply to your request and to manage any relationship that follows. Legal basis: handling your request and taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); for requests that do not concern a possible contractual relationship, our legitimate interest in replying to those who write to us (Article 6(1)(f)). We do not ask for consent to reply to you: the box in the forms confirms that you have read this notice. Retention: 24 months from the last contact if no relationship follows the request; if a relationship follows, for its duration and as required by law. The data is not sold or disclosed to third parties for their own purposes and is not used for unsolicited promotional mailings.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you may object to processing; you may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing already carried out. Write to info@defactorysrl.com or to the certified e-mail (PEC) defactorysrl@pec.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Recipients and transfers
The data may be processed by providers acting on our behalf as data processors (hosting, e-mail, work tools), bound by contract. If a provider operates outside the European Union, the transfer takes place on the basis of the safeguards provided for by the GDPR. We do not sell data and do not share it for third-party marketing purposes.
Minors
The website is aimed at businesses and professionals. Requests relating to the Smart Run Award that concern athletes under 18 must be submitted by a parent or by the person with parental responsibility.
Smart Run Award
Results, ranking, individual reports, images.
The Smart Run Award processes different data for different purposes. For each one we state what, why, on what basis and for how long. Source of the results: the official rankings published by the event organisers and by the international federation.
Republished official results
Name, country, category, scores and placings already made public by the event organisers, reported with the source cited and without changes. Purpose: to document the award edition and make its calculation verifiable. Legal basis: the legitimate interest of DE Factory in documenting the award on the basis of data already public (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention: as a historical archive of the award editions, for as long as the roll of honour remains published; you may object at any time (Article 21), and we will consider removal or reduction to initials.
Smart Run ranking and processing
The SRA Index and the ranking are statistical processing by DE Factory of the official results; they do not change scores, placings or the official ranking. The Smart Run Award is an independent recognition: it is not an official ranking of the event and is not recognised by any federation. Legal basis and retention: as for the official results. Anyone who believes that a republished or processed item of data contains an error can report it to info@defactorysrl.com: we will check and correct it.
Individual report
The individual performance report is produced and sent only to the athlete who requests it, or to the person with parental responsibility, at the e-mail address provided. It is not published. Legal basis: carrying out your request (Article 6(1)(b)). Retention of the copy sent: 24 months from sending.
E-mail addresses
The e-mail address left during the event or sent from the website is used only to send the report and for communications about it, including any corrections. Legal basis: carrying out your request (Article 6(1)(b)). Retention: 24 months from the request, then deletion. Contact details are not sold or disclosed to third parties for their own purposes.
Award and ceremony images
The name of the person who receives the Smart Run Award is made public when it is presented at the ceremony and may be shown in the award's roll of honour and in the edition materials, together with the category and the performance index (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f)). Images of the ceremony are published only with the consent of the people concerned (Article 6(1)(a)), which may be withdrawn at any time.
Athletes under 18
For athletes under 18, requesting the report, providing contact details and consenting to the use of images are the responsibility of the parent or the person with parental responsibility; requests received by e-mail follow the same rule. For award-winning minors we publish only name, category and index, with no photographs unless that consent has been given.
Sponsorship
DE Factory takes part in sporting events as technical sponsor of the event and promoter of the Smart Run Award. It does not organise events: it provides the method, the application, the award and the materials. Organisation remains the responsibility of the organising sports club.
Cookies
No profiling cookies, no third-party resources.
This website does not set cookies, whether profiling or third-party, and does not use the browser's local storage. Fonts, images and styles are served from the website's own domain. For this reason the website does not show a cookie consent banner. Links to external websites, for example to official competition results, lead to pages that apply their own rules. If in future we introduce tools that require it, this page and the website will be updated before they are activated.

Method and patent application
The method underlying 4Vision is the subject of a patent application filed with the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM) on 27 April 2026, no. 102026000011680, entitled «Metodi e dispositivi per generare dati certificati relativi ad incidenti di qualità industriale» ("Methods and devices for generating certified data relating to industrial quality incidents"), exclusively licensed to DE Factory S.r.l. under a registered and recorded licence. The undisclosed logic of the method is protected as a trade secret. The information published on the website neither reproduces nor exhausts the technical content of the patent application and does not disclose the logic kept as a trade secret.
Distinctive signs
DE Factory, 4Vision, DeTech, VeriPass, Risk Radar, Campaign Engine, Smart Run Award, SRA Index and the names of the Smart Methods, with their logos, graphics and materials, are distinctive signs used by DE Factory S.r.l. a socio unico. Public use of the Smart Run Award sign and its graphic materials is documented from the first edition of the award, September 2026. Any use by third parties requires written authorisation.
Third-party trademarks
The names of events, federations, sports clubs and third-party products mentioned on the website belong to their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only.
