Smart Methods · Method as a Service

The experience of those who know how, turned into a tool that stays.

DE Factory develops a family of smart methods: each one turns the knowledge of a domain into an operational tool that companies can make their own. The method governs, the tool executes. And the tool adapts to the systems you already have, not the other way round.

We do not sell technology: we sell method, experience, results.

A continuous methodology. The method is calibrated over time, on your results: delivery is where the work begins.

The model

A senior professional has a way of working that works. We make it executable.

First, the method is made explicit: phases, rules, selection criteria, what to look at and what to discard. Then it is built into a working tool, a light application that anyone in the company can use from day one, without the author at their side. Finally, the tool is not left to itself: the person who devised the method keeps reading its real results and refining it over time.

Ownership of the method remains as defined by the project; the company receives the right to use it under the agreement. Data and operational memory belong to the company and can be exported.

The cycle of a Smart Method. The method is refined through real use, not on paper: the first version is the starting point, not the destination.

Three voices around the same table

You

The company. The voice that cannot be delegated: mission, positioning, objectives, distinctive traits. The objective determines the tool, not the other way round.

The author

The professional who has devised, led and completed many projects in their domain. Sometimes it is the founder of DE Factory, sometimes an external professional: the method is theirs, and it stays intact and never exposed.

Us

DE Factory. Technology at the service of business: we gather the author's knowledge in a structured way, build the tool around your case and look after it over time.

What stays with DE Factory

  • The method. Criteria, rules, models, templates: ownership remains as defined by the project, and the company receives the right to use it under the agreement.
  • The refinement. Those who use the tool can send us their results periodically: we read them, identify what works and return guidance and updated versions.
  • Two components. The start-up fee pays for putting the method to work on your case; the subscription pays for the life of the method: updates and ongoing support.

What stays with you

  • The tailored tool. Deployment and data flows are configured to limit transfers and access to what the service requires, including dedicated solutions when the project calls for them.
  • Your data and working memory. They are yours, and can be exported at any time.
  • Portability. Data and evidence remain exportable in open formats; the terms of use of the method and the tools remain those defined in the contract.

A typical project

Seven steps, from brief to tool in use.

The sequence is the same for every method. We start from the context, not from the menu; we deliver a working version, not a prototype; and the work does not end at delivery.

Brief and objective

The objective determines the tool, not the other way round. Objectives, constraints, scope, who will use it.

Structured gathering of the author's knowledge

The choices that worked, the situations to avoid, the vocabulary. The result is an operating manual and the criteria.

Design

A single database, one view for each role. For every promised function we write down what the tool does, what DE Factory does and what it requires from the company.

Set-up

The tool is tuned to the company's case and fed with the sources that guide the method. It is not an installation: it is putting the method to work on your case.

First version in real use

A working tool, not a prototype. It is there to do the work and, at the same time, to understand what the next version needs to do.

Use and tracking

Limited operational input, focused on exceptions; the tool builds the overall picture. Periodically the company shares the results it chooses to share.

Refinement and new versions

The author reads, recognises what works, updates rules and settings, releases. The method is calibrated over time: how this happens belongs to the method, and stays with its author.

The methods

One family. Different domains, the same grammar.

Each method grows out of the experience of those who practise it and becomes an operational tool for a specific area. Two methods lead the family; the others support the daily work of companies and professionals in different domains.

Flagship method

4Vision

For whom
Manufacturers of machinery, components and connected products.
The problem
Field signals that are scattered, unconnected and undated: when someone asks "when did you know?", reconstructing it after the fact becomes difficult.
What it does
It gathers the signals arriving from e-mail, service reports, tickets and machine data, links them and preserves their origin, sequence and integrity. It produces a trail with verifiable integrity and, where required, certifies it with a qualified electronic time stamp.

Smart Run Award

For whom
Sports event organisers, federations and clubs, sponsors, athletes and spectators.
The problem
A score read on its own says little: the context in which it was achieved is missing. And an event produces data that nobody reads again, for the athletes, for the sponsors, for those watching.
What it does
A method and an app that read each performance in the context of its heat, under the same conditions and the same judges, and turn it into an award, a live screen and a report for the athletes. At the service of event organisation, sponsorship and spectator engagement.

In use · debut at the 1st IWWF European Wakesurf Cup, Gozzano, September 2026

Information and demos

Would you like to see a method at work?

Tell us the area you are interested in: we will write to you to discuss it further or to arrange a demo.

What would you like

A method at work

In wakesurf we read a score within its heat. In the factory we read a report within the history of the product.

The grammar is the same: data gains meaning in its own context. The Smart Run Award is the simplest way to see a Smart Method working live: an award, a screen, a report, built on the judges' results and returned to athletes, organisers, sponsors and spectators.
